Safety Guidelines
In Case of Emergency
Call 9-1-1 immediately if needed.
Notify a studio attendant as soon as possible.
You are responsible for your own safety and for helping maintain the safety of others.
Right to Refuse or Remove Participants
Musecraft Studios LLC reserves the right to refuse service or remove anyone from the studio for disregarding rules, safety policies, or creating an unsafe or unwelcoming environment.
Emergency Protocols
First Aid Kit: Located at the check-in desk.
Fire Extinguishers: Hallway immediately to the left.
Exits: Interior Studio Door: Exit left or right to enter the building hallway to stairwell; Exterior Studio Door: Exit to outside down flight of stairs to ground.
Reporting Hazards: Notify staff immediately of any fall, injury, spill, or unsafe condition. You may also contact the studio via phone or text.
Dress & Personal Safety
Shoes: Closed-toed shoes are required.
Clothing: Hang coats/jackets; secure loose clothing and remove dangling jewelry or accessories.
Hair: Tie back long hair when using power tools.
Health & Wellness
Stay home if ill: Symptoms such as cough, fever, sore throat, runny nose, or other illness.
Coughing/Sneezing: Do so into your elbow, not your hands or open air. If you do happen to cough or sneeze into your hands, wash them with warm soap and water.
Hand Hygiene: Sink available for washing hands and brushes; hand sanitizer, lotion, and nitrile gloves are available.
Alcohol & Substances: Outside alcohol is prohibited; no inebriation is allowed except in studio-sanctioned events.
General Conduct
Tool Use: You may use studio tools (heat guns, knives, saws, drills, hammers, sewing machines, etc.) only if you understand their safe operation. Check with staff if unsure.
Noise: Keep conversations at a reasonable volume; take private calls outside the studio.
Behavior: Treat others with respect at all times.
Food & Drink
Drinks must have lids.
No fish or peanut-based products inside the studio.
Clean up spills immediately; you are responsible for your own food and drink.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Safety glasses are required when using power equipment.
Nitrile gloves and face masks are available.
You are responsible for proper use, storage, and maintenance of all PPE.
Housekeeping
Clean as you go: Each participant is responsible for cleaning up their workspace.
Walkways: Keep clear of tripping hazards. Do not leave projects or personal items on the floor.
Storage: Limited secure storage is available—check with staff.
Spills/Hazards: Report immediately.
Cleanup Fees: Significant messes left behind may incur a $50 maximum fee.
Materials & Project Storage
Store materials in designated areas only.
Projects left in the studio must be clearly labeled with your name, date, and contact info.
Unidentified or abandoned materials may be discarded or added to supply rotation after two weeks without notice.
Hazardous Materials
Dangerous fumes or materials requiring special disposal (resins, spray paint, oils, etc.) are not permitted.
The studio is not equipped for hazardous air filtration or waste management.
If you see a material that may need special air filtration, PPE, or disposal, please tell a staff member immediately. Our small team may not know about every item, so reporting hazards helps keep everyone safe.
Tools & Equipment
Instruction Required: Read/view guidance before use.
Limited Tools: Some tools are in limited supply; schedule requests if necessary.
Safe Handling: Keep sharp tools in protective cases; point sharp tools downward if uncased.
Inspect Before Use: Do not use broken or unsafe equipment. Notify staff of issues.
Workspace: Ensure adequate space; do not unplug equipment without permission.
Cleanup: Return all tools and clean your workspace after use.
Studio Spaces
Open Studio: General access to shelves and tables. Leave areas as you found them.
Quiet Room: Available for taking a short break to grab a snack, eat lunch, or decompress.
Building Respect: The studio is in a shared building, please maintain respectful noise levels and do not enter other spaces without permission.
